Stop the Madness
Okay, that's enough, this has got to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kind of off the topic here of the site, but not really. I just read another story of another student shooting. What is the deal with that? Lately, the news has been flooded with students shooting students, Dads shooting their kids and estranged or ex-wives, etc.
What the hell is the deal with this? Shooting your kids? Fellow students? Is there a problem with our drinking water?
I am a lucky man, I have a great wife and great kids. However, if the sky fell in and something happened to damage my marriage, NO FREAKIN WAY on earth am I gonna do something that would take my kids away. NO FREAKIN Way!!!! Those are my kids, they are precious and they are mine!!! You work it out with your ex-spouse and figure out a way to make sure your kids have the most minimal impact to their lives despite the situation.
Students shooting students? Whatever happened to slugging it out and having a soda afterwards and becoming friends? Or using the fact we are Human Beings and cabable of reasoning with each other? Sound crazy? Not to me.

123 Copy DVD, Ring Factory Rock the House
Hello everyone,
Christmas 07 is now in the history books, crowds have faded at the retail stores, the credit card bills from Christmas are coming in and there is still a Billion dollars in unused gift cards floating around out there waiting to be spent. Now is the time when the retail chains make their move to draw us back. Print, Radio and T.V. ads are everywhere offering us the “Holy Grail of Discounts and Deals” to get one more big rush of business before the summer slowdown gets here. So, since I have some new gadgets to review, I grabbed my backpack and hit the pavement in search of some cool products and great deals.
Who would be my target stores today? Hmm. Let’s start today with Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, Frys and CompUSA since they claim to have the perfect products for my new gadgets.
Per the majority of ads I heard and read, I headed straight to the software section to see for myself. I browsed and browsed looking for any “Hot New Items” as well as some of the "Old Guard Products" that have supposedly added some cutting edge new features. All the usual suspects were there, Nero, Microsofts latest offerings, etc.
In the software, I browsed and browsed looking for new items as well as some of the "Old Guard Products" that have supposedly added in some new cutting edge features. I saw the Neros, Microsofts latest offerings, a few newcomers doing the same old thing with different packaging. I finally settled on 3 products to try out, 123 Copy DVD Gold, Ring Factory, and the latest and greatest from Roxio.
I was beginning to feel a bit of disappointment as the few newcomers on shelf were simply the same old thing with different packaging. I finally settled on 3 products to try out, 123 Copy DVD Gold, Ring Factory, and the latest and greatest from Roxio.
Here is what I found out.
Roxio is the same as always and proved to be a huge disappointment once again, just too hard for the average dumb consumer such as myself, lots of bells and whistles on the box, but you need a programming degree to use most of the features. Thumbs down as ususal. It's a $79 product with 1 or 2 usable features, the rest are simply fluff for the packaging and marketing purposes.
123 Copy DVD Gold- We have a winner here, 123 will make backup copies of your DVD movies AS CLAIMED, it has a very sweet little feature to transfer and convert movies to iPods, PSP, Zune, Sandisk, Zen, etc. Or, if you are into the YouTube thing, 123 Gold will transfer your favorite YouTube videos to your iPod or favorite supported handheld. This thing actually worked as advertised and I have to admit, I had alot of fun with this product. I reached out to the developers of 123 they gave me a little "off the record" sneak preview of some new features being added in. Exciting is the best way to describe the future of this application.
Ring Factory- Wow, what a cool little app this is, say goodbye to paying for Ringtones forever, Ring Factory takes your favorite song or songs and lets you slice and dice it any which way you want. My only issue with this app is, I found myself creating ringtone after ringtone and forgot to go to work. Ooops. LOL. Nice job folks!!

You have just purchased or recieved a gift of one of the hottest new techno gadgets, maybe a PS3, Xbox, iPod, Wii, etc. Well, you decided to go to the store and pimp it out with the latest and greatest accessories availabe. You ask the clerk ( who is supposed to have some type of answer), he or she responds with, "I don't know, not really my thing" LOL.
Heads up to the store manager, GET YOUR PEOPLE TRAINED TO ACTUALLY SELL.

Rude behavior is simply RUDE
Christmas is coming and the Goose is getting fat, please......................................................
Care to guess why I stopped at please? Answer: I didn't want to confuse too many people since most folks DO NOT KNOW what it means. LOL. Sad but true.
Christmas is getting close, so rude behavior is at an all time high in the malls and other retail stores. Gotta get it, gotta get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I truly love Christmas time, it is just a very cool time of the year, saying goodbye to what was hopefully a good year, or saying good riddance to a bad year and ready to start anew and make some changes. Either way, it's all good.
The thing about Christmas I am not real crazy about, how everybody gets so nuts about presents, worrying if they got enough, or the right thing, or hoping they will like it, whatever, gosh, it just isn't what Christmas is about.
That's my vent for today, gotta feeling more are coming before tonight, LOL.

Well, I have been browsing the news today and I think that the respective Governors of the State of Illinois and Missouri have qualified for a special "Mooreon Achievement".
I read about their criticism of how Ameren Corp recently handled the massive power outage in the midwest and how they are calling for investigations and inquiries and WHATEVER.
Hey guys, Mother Nature is a bit of a bitch and very unpredictable. Do you have a solution? My guess is no.
Maybe you should bring in the talented Mr. Sharpton to help you figure it out.
Stop pointing fingers from your glass houses boys, people will start pointing back.
Politicians, don't you just love them? In a time of crisis, their first response is always "how can it help me?"
I would like to point out the exception to Mr. Rudy G. of New York. Rudy, let me know what I can do in 08 and I am there. I really think you care.

Well, I would like to apologize for the long delay in postings, but I was besieged with requests for guest commentaries and out of town visitors and my kids had a busy month. So with that out of the way, time to get back to the nitty gritty.
I gotta say, there has been alot of candidates for "Jackass of the Month" , wow, it has been a busy time. But, gotta pick somebody.
To all the people who waited in line for days or allowed your children to stand in line for days to get a Sony PS3, you are hands down the winners.
You are simply "Mooreons" , yes we have changed the spelling in tribute to the "King of the Mooreons" Mr. ............................................
Not gonna say his name and give him more pub. You all know who it is. LOL. Bowling anyone??
